Cubs vs. Sox Games

I’ve only been to one of these games, and it is certainly the closest a regular season game comes to a post season game.
Whether you are a fan of the Sox or the Cubs, you probably have at least one friend that’s a fan of the other team, which makes these the perfect games to go to. But what’s the deal with this rivalry?
It started back at about the beginning of the American League. Charles Comiskey wanted to move his minor league team, Saint Paul Saints(a bit redundant), to Chicago. The Cubs owner at the time through a little bitch fit and filed a law suit. However, it was decided that Comiskey could move his team to Chicago without Chicago being in the title of the team and it had to be south of 35th street. Well, the team was then named the White Stockings which was the original name of the Cubs.
The American League team was seen as a direct challenge to the North Siders. The American League gained popularity and sure enough a rivalry was born. The two teams met once in the World Series back in 1906 and the Sox won.
Here are a few pictures to laugh at.
