And it doesn’t help that the weather’s getting warmer and you’re stuck in a clammy train car with a bunch of homeless people and sweaty yuppies. Did anyone notice how nasty the red line was last week? The CTA workers were kicking riders out of the underground stations and telling them to walk to the elevated tracks and catch the red line up there. My ride from Lincoln Park to the loop last Thursday? Took over an hour, at which point I got out at Grand and walked downtown in the rain.
