Goose Island Brewery
I went to the Goose Island Brewery and had a burger for dinner last night. I had the Pilsen burger which was excellent. I found the price to be quite reasonable, a good place to take a date to, pretty classy but low key and for the caliber of food you get relatively cheap.
I like a restaurant like this that manages to stay classy, but isnt so pretentious that they don’t have tvs for watching sports. Our server was friendly and prompt and even made a little pleasant conversation beyond simply making sure everything was ok.
Of course the reason to go to a brewery isnt the food. The first beer I had was an old favorite of mine, the 312. I dont normally like wheat beers, but this one has a lighter wheat taste and i really like it. I also had their Demolition Reserve, one of the beers they always keep on hand, in order to branch out a litte bit. It came in a weird glass but was quite good. All in all it was a good time.
