Melrose Restaurant

To get here via public transportation: Although there are many ways to get here, I have suggested taking the red line to the Belmont stop and than proceeding to the eastbound #77 Belmont bus to Belmont and Broadway.

Mmmm, who doesn’t love a good breakfast place that is open around the clock? If breakfast is your favorite meal of the day, (as it is mine) than the Melrose Restaurant will not disappoint you. Located at Belmont and Broadway, this 24 hour restaurant is usually busy with an interesting crowd. I prefer going late at night, although the people are a bit stranger than the day crowd. It is also a great place to go if you need something to eat after a night out. The staff is pleasant, and the atmosphere is that of your typical diner. During the warmer months, seating is also available outside, which is nice. The restaurant offers a variety of food, from sandwiches and pastas to omelettes and pancakes. My favorite dish is the spinach omelette because it is very fluffy and never overcooked. Also, the prices are cheap, with a meal for two averaging about $20.While the food isn’t gourmet, it is definitely a step up from another around the clock breakfast joint, the Golden Nugget. Above, I listed one way to get here via public transportation, mainly because parking is scarce. No matter how you get there, the Melrose Restaurant is a great late-night diner and the perfect spot to hit after the bars close.
